John King Karting was formed in early 2008 by John King and Fahmi Imam Basri, probably the most successful driver/mechanic partnership in Malaysia karting history. Together we've won 7 championships in the last 5 years and now intend to help other drivers achieve that level of consistency and success.
We are focussed on running karts and developing/training drivers in the Malaysian/Asian Rotax series as well as other kart races across Asia. We sell racing services, Rotax engines & parts, GPRacing Chassis & Spares and Training courses for both children and adults.
For 2009, we'll have around 5-6 drivers on the grid for each RMC race, SL Cup and KKS. Although we'll be front runners in some races, we also cater for inexperienced or hobby drivers and will give them equal treatment to the front runners - we believe that everyone should be given a chance to do as well as possible and, particularly, enjoy their racing.
We’ve set some team principles and objectives
• Give the customers the best possible experience during their karting at a reasonable price
• No cheating or bending of rules, even if requested by customers
• Act in a way that promotes karting generally in Malaysia, co-operating with organizers, promoters and other teams as necessary
• Build a long term relationship with drivers, families and supporters, developing young drivers with talent to a point where they can move onto the right next step for a career in motorsport

7th June 2009 - clean sweep of all three categories in KKS Round 3 - James Pull in Cadet (with GP Racing chassis), Liam Gout in Junior and David Turner in Seniors
